The Des Moines Dam to Dam half marathon race is tomorrow. I’ve been training for the past nine weeks following a schedule. This will be my second half marathon.

As the list-maker that I am, here’s my checklist:

  • Running shoes
  • Race day outfit: shorts, tank top, sports bra, compression socks
  • Running pouch: ID, chapstick, tissues, fruit snacks, phone
  • Sunglasses
  • Visor/hat
  • Headphones 
  • Sunscreen
  • Race bib
  • After race: blender bottle with protein powder
  • Water
